I come from a land far far away, a country called Lebanon. This piece of information earned me a free DVD once at a gig in Brooklyn. The only time i ever win anything because i come from Lebanon. The host of the event asked: “Who ever comes from the furthest away in the audience , will win this DVD of mixing imagery with music,” pretty cool stuff! Luckily there were no Asians in the house!
I am from a city in Lebanon called Zahle, the capital of the Bekaa valley, famous for its unique wines and hearty cuisine.
You can see Zahle on the map
My love of food and genuine interest in culture led me to the food studies program at New York University. From there, I fell into the journalism program during my second year because I discovered a true passion about writing and reporting. I am now slowly paving my way through the online and televised media world.
I started this blog in January 2009 to follow the reporting I have done in a journalism class.
But this blog has now become a platform for me to share with you all interesting issues that I come across in life, work and random encounters, as long as these are related in some way to Lebanon or Lebanese in or outside of their country.

Hi Clara
I would like to suggest that u talk about some lebanese songs in the 70s and 80s, like Sammy Clark, Hikmat Wahbi and more other legends,
the only thing that i remember that it was lebanese tv in Jordan late 70 or 80s, with Fadia and Ronza And all others, i will be thakfull if u get some clips and talk more about that, its little nostalgic
I cant remember well the name of the program, because i was very young at that time
Best regards
Dalia
